What's so different about soy candles? Paraffin wax candles come from petroleum. So when you burn a paraffin candle you're emitting dirty smoke into your home and you're breathing it into your lungs. Paraffin is akin chemically to Alkane, which indicates hydrocarbons. Smoke from these candles discolor and stain the walls of the rooms you relax in. Soy wax comes from processing natural soybean oil. Since soy wax is a hydrogenated form of soybean oil, it's softer than paraffin wax and has a lower melting point. Therefore, it usually lasts longer than paraffin based candles, up to twice as long in fact. So, if you're looking for scented candles for relaxation, but want to be safe from harmful chemical effects, opt for a soy candle to emit the soft glow and warm scent into your home.

There are
only a couple of weeks left until Christmas. Is your home all decorated with a
tree, mistletoe, lights, wreaths and candles? Is your shopping all done? How
about a Nativity scene? I love those.
Let’s talk
about the home. It’s always so nice to have the fragrances of Christmas filling
the home. Not only do you have the visual of the decorations, and twinkling
lights, but the scents can fill you with the spirit of the season. It’s
wonderful to smell a Christmas Wreath hanging over the mantel, Mistletoe
hanging here and there or the fragrance of Frankincense & Myrrh wafting
through the room. I’m sure most of you like coffee in the morning. I know that
I love the smell of fresh coffee. I like that aroma almost as much as a fresh
Pecan Pie!
Well, all
of those scents can come in candles. Just light one up and your spirits will
lift. When you get up in the morning while you’re waiting for that coffee to
finish brewing, why not light a Hazelnut Coffee Tart candle? It’ll make that
first cup taste even better. When the holidays are over, you won’t have the
scent of the pine tree in the living room. Well guess what? There’s a candle
for that too.
Do you have
someone you’re having a hard time to buy for? Why not get him or her a candle
or two? Everyone loves scented candles. What if when the candle is about half
gone, the recipient discovered something quite special inside? They wouldn’t
expect to get jewelry from you would they? But that’s exactly what they’ll get
if you give them Jewelry in Candles. That’s
right! Each one of these candles comes with a piece of authentic jewelry
inside, packaged and completely protected from harm from the candle itself.
It’s a thought. Get one for yourself! Enjoy the holidays.

Scents for the Holidays
After Black Friday, many of us have
our special presents ready to wrap and put under, or behind, the Christmas
tree. Now we’re thinking of other loved ones and friends. We get team shirts
for brother, tops for sis, jeans and other clothing for many and special gifts
for mom and dad. We’re almost done with our list.
Now what about the others on our
list, the ones that are hard to shop for? Electronic games and devices are
expensive, neck ties are pretty blasé and everyone seems to resort to perfumes
or colognes when they run out of other ideas.
Have you thought about giving scented candles? Candles are not only decorative; they can provide a wonderful scent
throughout the home when they’re lit. They also provide a sense of warmth and
welcoming to anyone that arrives or enters the room. Candles can help create a
romantic setting for an environment being shared by a couple. Many candles are therapeutic.
The scents of Honey Suckle, Hibiscus, Baby Powder, Lavender and Vanilla can all
provide a sense of calming for those who are feeling stressed. Who doesn’t get
stressed over the holidays? A therapeutic candle will be greatly appreciated
when the holidays are over and people can finally have time to themselves.
Nothing beats relaxing in a favorite chair with a nice glass of wine and the scent of Lavender wafting through the room.
So the next time you’re struggling
with a gift idea for someone you care about, why not think about giving them
something that will not only enhance their personal lives but last a long time.
Consider giving them a scented candle.
